College Prep For ALL Students
Choosing your high school is a big step on your journey to college graduation.
People’s Prep believes that all students should have the option of a college preparatory program.
We give students double math and double English classes so they can meet grade-level requirements. We also give our kids the highly personal attention they deserve with a staff-to-student ratio of 6:1. We work closely with parents on how to support their kids at home so that when school is out, the learning doesn’t stop.
More than 90% of the 2019 senior class graduated in four years. Over just two years, the number of students scoring a 16 or better on the ACT went from 26% to 48%. [3] [4] Chronic absenteeism has been plummeting, with just 8% of seniors chronically absent last year — a rate more than seven times lower than that of seniors in the local district. One-quarter of our students have diagnosed disabilities (compared to 17% of students at neighboring schools), 94% qualify for free or reduced-priced lunch, and 100% are students of color. It is our job at People’s Prep to ensure they have access to all the opportunities and experiences they deserve.
