Yes! We are proud to serve a large population of students with disabilities.
We suggest students arrive to school by 8:15 am, and students are dismissed at 3:30pm. Office hours, clubs, and sports meet after school.
We do not provide bus service for students. We do provide NJ Transit bus tickets to students who are eligible (based on NPS distance requirements of 2.5 miles or further).
We are located at 321 Bergen Street, Newark, NJ 07103.
You may visit the school any day the school is open. Please call in advance of your visit in case we are having a special event. We encourage you to join us for Application Saturdays designed for prospective students and their families.
The number of students in each classroom varies depending on grade and/or subject. Some classes have 12 students and others may have 25 to 28. Our average class size is 22 students.
The first day of school is usually in the third week of August. Please do not schedule any vacations or summer camp in August so that your child does not miss school. School days in August are part of the regular school year and are mandatory for all students.
Students may receive breakfast, lunch, and/or an afternoon snack. Students may be eligible for free or reduced-price lunch. This status is determined during a student’s registration process after being matched.
Yes, all students are required to wear uniforms. Students may be provided with a starter kit including a uniform polo. Families are responsible for purchasing additional uniforms throughout the school year.
